Is December 21, 2012 really the end? Jose Arguelles was the first to announce to the world that December 21, 2012 was the end of the world according to the Mayan Calendar. He told the world that 12-21-2012 is a doomsday that is coming in our future and would cast humanity into a cataclysmic time.

Many argue that Jose Arguelles gave the Mayan Calendar a bad rap and set into motion a huge consciousness shift into fear concerning the Dec 21, 2012 date. Many believe that it is going to be a time of huge upheaval, destruction and death. The truth is that no one really knows. It could be that or it could be something else entirely.

No matter what, humanity will survive and move through the changes, perhaps gently or perhaps violently, but change will happen none the less. Change has to happen or humanity will not be able to continue to sustain the way it does things now. Human existence is unsustainable the way it exists in this paradigm. It is up to us as to how we want to go through the changes, with fear or with love. The Mayans say that we can go through these changes to a better world.

Jose Arguelles was also the person who said that Y2K was coming, and nothing really happened on that date in the year 2000. So who knows what December, 21, 2012 will really bring? No matter what, we can approach December 21, 2012 in a peaceful fashion or we can approach it with fear. It is up to you what you choose. s
