Hello, I was wondering if the forum quit sending email notices of posts, or PM's. I haven't received an email in a long time, letting me know of anything.

I did re-check my options in the control panel and i do have it checked yes to notify me by emailing me, but it's not working.

Anyone else having this problem?

Just checking~

Sorry Jill. I noticed that too and have no solutions. Will ask around!

We cannot update yet. We need to upgrade the forum software so that it will recognize the new Email service for UMS. A little bit more time!

Our WebMaster is working on fixing the glitches. He has to contact some of the orinial designers.

The email notifications are back! Password requests will resume for new users. Notification of Private Messages will be forwarded to you, if you select that option in your Control Panel. Hopefully, the time outs will be less frequent, and the duplication of messages won't happen either..but I am not sure about that. Enjoy!

Sunflower,
You already use an alias name, so no need to worry that someone can track you down using that name. Now, if you were to have signed up using your real name as a user ID, then people would be able to track you. However, using alias names are nothing to worry about.

If you want to hide your existance to other users in the forum, simply clear your cache and log-in as guest. I believe there is an option to stay invisible. You can do that no matter what you use as a screen name. Clearing the cache is also easy, as there is an option to do that while logging in, it may say clear cookies. However; If you cannot log in, because you automatically log in (as I do) then you may have to log out first. This option is right next to your screen name after "Welcome, Sunflower." it's in parenthesis (logoff).

I hope this helps!
